Common questions

Georgia questions

Is there a virtual IOP for mental health in Georgia?

Yes. Shift Support Network runs a virtual intensive outpatient program for adults that people in Georgia attend by secure video, with a clinician licensed in Georgia. There is no office to drive to.

What time are the groups in Georgia?

Monday to Friday, 8:30 to 11:30 PM Eastern. Afternoon groups are arranged at intake.

Does Blue Cross Blue Shield in Georgia cover virtual IOP?

Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield plans with an out-of-network behavioral health benefit often apply it to intensive outpatient care, including by telehealth. Shift is out of network, so we check your plan free and tell you the cost before you start. HMO plans usually do not pay out of network.

Does Shift treat substance use in Georgia?

How many hours a week is it?

15 group hours a week, Monday to Friday, plus a weekly individual session with a licensed clinician. Most people stay eight to twelve weeks.

Can I keep working?

Yes. Groups run in the evening so people can keep a full-time job. Some people use FMLA for part of the program.
